Yes, a year has gone by and maybe it’s time to take some kind of stock of the process of buying the first apartment in Dubai. The thoughts about buying property abroad started with the process of getting a Portuguese passport, and then the direction was Lisbon or Porto, and then it drifted to one of the Greek islands, which in practice only works 5 months a year, and to Cyprus, which I didn’t click with at all. And then Vlad pops up on my TikTok, with Dubai. Gives you quite a bit of his time. Checks things out for you and stays with you. A bit of digging on the guy and what drives him. How he ended up in Dubai. And the most important question every buyer abroad has to ask himself. Who is going to manage the property I bought? Will he keep looking after me? Can he be relied on? And in general you need to have good communication with him.

I decided to go ahead and I got an answer to every question about the property. Vlad and Lana work like a well-oiled machine and answer every question that comes up, or any problem with the transfers, including going to the companies that handle moving the money.

That chance meeting led to a good friendship and to the families getting to know each other. And a lot of funny moments, and not just business.

So summing up a year on, I can recommend them and say to all those who haven’t made up their minds and do want to buy a property in Dubai. You have absolutely nothing to be afraid of. If you have spare money and a steady income, then within about 2 to 3 years you too can have a property in Dubai.

When it’s meant to happen, it happens.. My husband and I decided to buy an apartment in Dubai as an investment. We’d been to Dubai several times and fell in love with it..
